Listening on this phone
A backup PIN and daily skips are there if you can't speak.
01
You close an app to be productive… and 3 seconds later, your thumb reflexively taps TikTok without you even realizing it.
02
What starts as a “5-minute break” turns into 45 minutes of comparison, doomscrolling, and feeling emotionally exhausted.
03
Every time you promise yourself you'll stop scrolling and fail, your confidence takes a quiet hit. It's not a lack of willpower—it's an app engineered to hijack your brain.
Traditional app blockers fail because you just tap “Ignore Limit.” Verbada asks for a physical pause, grounding you in the present moment before you scroll.
01
Takes under 30 seconds.
Choose the apps that steal your time—Instagram, TikTok, X, mobile games, or shopping platforms. On iPhone, that choice stays on the device through Apple's Screen Time.
02
Customizable affirmations.
Assign positive, grounding statements to each app, or let Verbada offer a fresh line from the built-in library. AI-written lines are optional.
03
Voice-verified friction.
When you tap a locked app, Verbada asks you to say your affirmation aloud. Once your voice is verified on the device, the app opens.
04
A clearer next step.
Saying the intention out loud breaks the autopilot trance—you enter the app on purpose, or you close it.
Easy to bypass with a quiet tap
Asks you to speak before the app opens
Makes you feel guilty or punished
Replaces guilt with kinder self-talk
Treats screen time like a strict diet
Builds a habit of noticing, then choosing
Easy to ignore after a couple of days
A spoken pause is harder to swipe past without noticing
Your voice never leaves your phone. Speech is checked on the device, in the moment. Verbada does not store the audio and does not upload it.
Unlocked an app to reply to a message? Set a 15-minute grace period so you don't have to repeat your phrase during an active conversation.
In an office, a library, or anywhere you can't speak, use your backup PIN or one of your daily skips. Skips are capped each day so the pause still means something.
Choose from built-in lines—Productivity, Self-Worth, Calm, or Focus—or write your own. Optional AI lines are written from a short prompt, with the library as the fallback.
7 days free, then $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year ($3.33/month). Subscriptions are billed by the App Store or Google Play when Verbada launches. This website does not charge you.

No. The phrase is checked on your phone so Verbada can tell you said it. The audio is not stored and is not uploaded. Your backup PIN stays in secure storage on the device.
Use your backup PIN, or one of your daily skips. Skips are limited each day, so the pause is still there tomorrow. You can also turn the lock off for a set stretch of time when you need quiet, like answering a message.
You can delete Verbada like any other app, and that removes the PIN and settings stored on the device. The pause is a moment of friction, not a vault: the PIN and a small number of daily skips are there on purpose, for times you can't speak. On iPhone, the apps you pick are held by Apple's Screen Time as tokens Verbada cannot read.
Yes. The 7-day free trial and the subscription are billed by Apple or Google, not by this website. Cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings before the trial ends and you won't be charged. A paid plan cancels the same way and stays active until the period you already paid for ends.
